Welcome to The Blue Butterfly Foundation
Changing Lives through the Power of Compassion

Gold Standard Transparency

At The Blue Butterfly Foundation, we believe that every child has the right to nutritious food, proper shelter, a loving home, a caring community, and a high-quality education. Our focus is on the impoverished country of Nepal in South Asia, where we seek to help anyone who longs for a better life, regardless of gender, age, background, religion or ethnicity. Much of our work focuses on victims of child labor, trafficking, and enslavement.

We invite you to become a part of our organization and help in our mission to empower those in need. Whether through a donation, volunteering, or setting up a program in your community, we always welcome your thoughts, ideas and initiatives.

The Blue Butterfly Foundation was created in honor of Zoë Damon. Wise beyond her years, Zoë's generosity, curiosity and compassion guided her life, leading her to always ask: "How can I help?"

While studying butterflies in the Costa Rican rainforest, Zoë passed away in a vehicle accident, just a month shy of her 21st birthday.

However, Zoë's remarkable humanity lives on and inspires us to help impoverished children gain the education of their dreams. We miss Zoë with all our hearts, but take comfort in knowing that her shining spirit grows brighter with each child we touch.

In April 2015, a 7.8 earthquake devastated Nepal, leaving numerous people without proper shelter, education, medical care, and more. The Blue Butterfly Foundation created an emergency relief fund. Thank you for all of your donations and helping to save lives!
